Chapter Six - This time Around

INDEX or Chapter 7

Working with Taylor Hanson proved to be a lot of hard work. From 9am onwards there would be singing, editing and the most, arguing.

‘But it does not sound right Tay!’ Ike yelled at his brother

‘Can you please get the pickle out of your booty and sing! It sounds good, doesn’t it Robyn?’ Tay said turning to Robyn who had been gazing at him. She abruptly came down to earth and agreed with Taylor.

‘If Ike thinks its crap then we should review the song Tay’ Zac said cutting in. Robyn stood up and began pacing up and down the studio room. She saw Taylor’s note pad and quickly looked over to see if he was watching her, he wasn’t. She quickly looked through, it was mainly songs she has heard, then she came across one that she never had seen before. It was called ‘Dream Girl’. She read the lyrics thinking how beautiful they were. She felt a hand slam the book closed. She jumped up to find Taylor with an angry expression on his face.

‘That’s private’ he said taking the notepad away and quickly storming out of the room. Both Ike and Zac looked over at Robyn and she immediately felt embarrassed. She decided to leave too. As she left she saw Taylor at the end of the corridor leaning his head back against the wall. She quietly watched him as he fell to the floor and putting his head in his hands. She felt bad for invading his privacy, but couldn’t help thinking, was the song about her? It couldn’t possibly. He wasn’t interested anymore.

That night Robyn and the Hanson brothers had a small gig in a local club. Mia and Robyn were getting ready. For once Robyn made an effort with heels and a lot of makeup. She didn’t know who she was fooling, the only person she wanted to impress had moved on.

‘There will be a lot of guys there Robyn, you gotta stop thinking about Taylor, besides I heard he’s dateing some teenybopper now, could just be a rumour though’ said Mia applying her lipstick, not know that every word she just said hit Robyn like a bullet.

As both Mia and Robyn had entered the club, they were immediately taken back stage to were the Hanson brothers were getting the party started. They entered the large room seeing Zac holding a beer in one hand and talking to some girls, common groupie wannabe’s, Ike was already laying his hands over a girl. A loud giggle from the couch gave Robyn a shiver through her spine, like someone had walked over her grave. There was Taylor with a big boobie, blonde, endless legged girl sitting with him caressing his collar as he smiled at her with his winning grin. Robyn turned away quickly to show she had not even noticed the girls hand move from Tay’s knee to his inner thigh.

‘Can we take this somewhere more private?’ said the girl with Taylor called Jane.

‘I gotta show to do in a couple of minutes sweetie, but im sure we can sort something out afterwards?’ Taylor said leaning in for a kiss but looking up to see Robyn standing there, awkwardly, not knowing where to look. She looked amazing. She wore high heels which made her legs look amazing. Her curves hugged a floral print boob tube dress and her rack looked perfect. He was in awe of her, just like he was the first time he saw her. He knew this blonde bimbo had nothing on her. He turned to find the girl still moving in towards him. He kissed his fingers and pressed them against her lips. ‘Later on’ he said giving her an amazing smile which made her feel like butter.

‘What songs are we starting with then Robyn?’ Tay said getting up and approaching her swiftly. Robyn turned around and smiled, knowing that he just blew that girl off  to speak to her. ‘You look..amazing, you really do’ carried on Tay looking her up and down.

‘A step up from your everyday teenybopper then?’ Said Robyn giving Taylor a look of sarcasm as she walked away. Before she could get out of ear shot she yelled. ‘We’re starting with This time around. I’ll let you know the rest on stage’ Taylor grinned as he watched her strut away from him.

The two were on stage now, screaming fans where waiting for the songs to start. Taylor could see how many were screaming Robyn’s name. Mainly guys. He got jealous, but liked the fact that he had her, and could still possibly have her again. The two exchanged looks throughout the whole gig and it didn’t go unnoticed by the girl Taylor was with backstage. She left in a huff knowing she had been played. Bad luck Taylor.

‘I see the girl you were with has ratted out on ya’ said Ike holding his girl close to him after the gig was over.

‘Yeh maybe you smell bad or something’ said Zac twisting his drumsticks round.

‘Well guys im off with Maria back to the hotel if you need me’ Ike had left quickly, he was dying to get the girl into the bedroom.

‘Yeh me and Mia are off to rent out a movie, our favourite...The Hangover’ Zac said placing his arms round Mia who shoved him off. They were really good friends now, it was adorable to see them together.

‘You guys SUCK! Where is the Rock ‘n’ Roll in you guys?’ Said Robyn chucking a beer to Taylor.

‘Im with Robyn on this one, i think ill stick with the cool person of the band’ he said leaning closer to her. A gush of his aftershave streamed up her nose. She felt immediately attracted to him and leaned towards him too. Both Mia and Robyn exchanged looks, feeling 18 again all those years ago when they were alone with Zac and Tay for the first time.

 Both Taylor and Robyn had drunk quiet a lot. They were walking up the streets of LA making up some new songs, very loudly. People would stop them for autographs and pictures but they would run away if the crowds got too much for them. They ran hand in hand as pap’s legged it after them. Taylor ran into an alleyway tugging Robyn with him. He pushed her up against the wall and covered them both until it was all clear. Robyn’s heart was racing, not because of all the running and laughing, but because Taylor was really close to her and she could feel his chest go up and down trying to catch his breath.

‘Is the coast clear?’  said Robyn gulping in her adrenalin. Taylor turned to her and didn’t answer her for a few seconds.

‘I don’t know’ he said staring at her, not moving from his position. He watched her as she stuttered to find what words to say next, instead of letting her begin he put his lips on her and they kissed. It wasn’t like a kiss they had before. It was a kiss that meant something. There was passion, feeling and love.

‘I didn’t mean about what i said in the Studio’ said Taylor lifting his face from hers gasping for air.

‘I know, I know’ Robyn whispered pulling his face back down to her.

Taylor felt so happy to be holding her and and the two, sobered up now, talked all night long about the lost time they had missed out with eachother.
